Now that I have your attention I would like to ask if there is a way for people who bought a retail copy from a 3rd party say Best Buy or Wal-Mart to recover the cd key used when registering an account? I asked as part of my ticket if they would send it to me and was told it can only be given out if a digital copy was sold online. How does this translate if you bought the basic game from a retailer and bought the digital deluxe edition through the in game store? If there is no way to ever recover a cd key that has been lost when buying from a retailer then shouldn’t we consider removing the cd key requirement for resetting a password? Obviously short of tattooing the code on your body many/most people at some point in the future will lose their key so what can be done at that point?

Don’t there isn’t ifyou lose the paper its written on its gone

However you don’t have to use the key to change password just answer the other questions is enough

However why are you doing this you can obviously use your current password fine as you are logged in to the forum

The CD-key/Serial code is not necessary. CS will work with you and use other information to verify your account. They don’t usually give out keys, anyway, no matter where you bought it.
