This is actually getting pretty ridiculous. This game was in beta for, like, a year. You didn’t catch this server problem?

The message that this is sending is “Sure buy our game. Not sure you will be able to play it, though. Oh and if you can play it, we cannot guarantee that your efforts will be worth anything. Any and all of your achievements, items, or levels can disappear at a moments notice. Yes please buy our products in the future.”

These are the kinds of failures that happened to SWTOR, which you will note very few of the many excited people play anymore.

You can’t sell any gems if people aren’t sure they will be able to keep the things they paid real money for. I lost items in the past, why not ones for which I paid money?

Arenanet absolutely must make good on this, and fast. Not just tweeting “The problem is fixed now, enjoy.” We need a double xp weekend, or something to show that you are truly working in good faith to provide the services and experience you advertised and promised with my purchase. I paid my $60 in good faith.

Make good, Arenanet. Don’t be another Tera.

I was one of the excited players of SWTOR at the start, and did not quit because of the problems they had, but because of the response that SWTOR had toward the players – it was basically “yes we have identified this problem, but have to plans to fix it, so deal with it” – zero support, they did not care at all for us, just our money.
I got rolled back last night for the first time, and have lost items before (no way to get them back), and also got stuck with multiple items from the BLTC (ah) – it told me that the item did not exist when i tried to purchase, and that i should reload and try again – the next morning, i had several of the item waiting for me, and silver missing to pay for them. Not passing judgement yet, but Arenanet needs to address these types of issues in a more player-centric manner than SWTOR did – I believe they will, and am happy to give them some more time to work on the kinks in this awesome game, but my patience is not unlimited.
