Reporting Hacked Accounts
Update: we’re now trying to contact him via PS Network, so im removing the picture to prevent reporting.
Report the account as ‘botting’. If it was hacked, it may be being used for that and support can terminate it.
if he can recover his account without having it banned it will save him a week of anet support’s bullkitten getting it reactivated
No doubt. But if his account was stolen they may be using it for botting, gold selling, deleted some of his characters, sold his stuff. They are likely to get involved anyway for those reasons. But you don’t have to report. Let them continue to bot, gold sell and strip his account while you attempt to contact your friend.

fair point, ill have the guild report him for botting while we get up with him
my question still isn’t answered about how we report someone elses account is hacked
If you wish to communicate with Customer Support, you can go to the top of this page and look under Services, then Support, then Ask a Question. It is best if the account owner communicates directly with Support, if possible.
If you want to report an account for botting, click on his name and select ‘report player’ or whatever the wording is. Then select botting as an option. If he wasn’t actually hacked, if it was him that stole the guild stuff, then nothing will happen because you reported him. They will look at the account and decide for themselves.

There is no need or means to report this for someone else. Since you have been in touch with the guild leader, and he is aware of the concern about his account having been hacked, then he needs to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page so that the team can assist with the issue.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.

It’s not my guild leaders account, its a friend thats in the guild. The Guild leader is trying to contact himvia Playstation Network, to tell him his account is hacked, we haven’t contacted him yet, and like Astral said we want to protect his account. We’re having all our guildies report his account for botting, but its not doing anything. Is there any way to have support look into this without waiting for the automated ban system?

It can take a while for account to check all the reports of bots and then ban them. They also tend to ban in waves. The reporting is more for them to pinpoint goldsellers. Since you’ve reported, all you can do now is try to contact him. When he gets his account back he will probably need to go thru account restoration to get his stuff back. Unless he was so low level it doesn’t matter.

Remove him from your guild. You are not going to get any of the loot from your bank back as it’s gone forever, so cut your loses now. If you do not know for a fact the account is botting, you should NOT be reporting it for that. Just standing in Fireheart and not responding to you is not botting behavior. Like Gaile said, your friend needs to contact support himself. You can’t report someone else’s account as hacked, only the original owner can do that. If you get in touch with your friend, he can then file a report. If the account is botting, since it has already been reported sooner or later it will be banned. There is nothing more you can do.
It’s banned now, would only take a few min to track who the hacker sent mail to from the account, would be easy to track the chain of bots back to the person responsible, i guess a few min of work isnt worth the account security of the playerbase. But like astral said account restoration will get his account back. we dont care about our stuff from guild bank, they only stole ~100g worth of items. the important thin is ren gets his account back.

Not so. If you think they’re botting, report them. Anet will check into it.

Standing in one place and not answering your messages is not botting, or even resembkitten tting in any way, shape or form. Reporting an account you “think” may have been hacked as a bot does not help, especially if you have an entire guild do it. It only creates multiple reports that have to be sorted through and take up supports time.
Oh yeah, definitly don’t have the whole guild do it.
I have just recently been hacked and recovered my account and changed the password and am requesting an account rollback by 4 days idk how exactly to request this but this seemed like the place to do it

You need to contact support, not on the forums.
