Hey everyone, I’m trying to get back into the game after a few months away, and my computer is having a hard time with the game now. Previously, I ran the game just fine at 30-50 fps, sometimes lower than that if a lot was going on. Not the best performance, but hey.

Returning, my computer is only able to run the game at seven frames per second. If I go to the “Best Performance” preset I get up to eight frames at times, and “Best Appearance” puts me down to six. Auto-Detect is at seven frames.

All my drivers are up-to-date.

Processor: AMD FX™-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB
Windows 7 Ultimate: 64-bit Service Pack 1
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5700 series.

Any helps, or advice on to what’s going on, would be fantastic!

Sounds like a pcie problem, get gpuz http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ to check your bus speeds and make sure they are at x16 when you are running the game.

yea it really does sound like a PCI-E Link issue.
But also, I would recommend running the Beta 14.1 Drivers.
Across the board I am seeing a 8-12% performance increase for GW2, graphically speaking, but also better support for the older 5000 and 6000 based GPUs.
