Umm is there anything I can do about this?

My laptop is running everything fine…zerg fights in wvsw are bad but whatever. The issue I always run into is revenants running the blue dragon assasin style….when they use those 2 giant blue dragon wing flashey abilities my fps plummets and the game almost freezes while that animation goes off. If they use them both consecutively things just go rly rly rly badly in terms of slowdown and fps and freezing. It never actually freezes my game for more than a second or 2. So 6 seconds after the animation completes I’m usually out of the slowdown and back to normal….it’s really killing my fighting abilitity tho cause u don’t want to be at the mercy of these abilities when they go off much less the revenant itself.

What can I do to fix this? Like I don’t have this problem with any of the other ingame abilities or animations…just this one class ability is causing me so much grief. Having to lower all my settings for 1-2 animations seems extreme and insanely unfair tho.

That is strange. After about 600 hours playing a rev I’ve never noticed FPS drops when using Dragon Stance elite, and I surely would have if it was that severe. My rig isn’t super powerful either(see signature).

What’s your laptop model/specifications?

The elite skill in question is a big more graphically intensive than many. On top of the animation,textures and meshes it also creates and pushes particles forward but I can’t picture that being enough to cause FPS drops as described.
