Just got this email:
We are sorry to inform you that your login account xxx.com is temporarily closed because it was involved in the sale of in-game items for cash or other items with real world value, or otherwise engaged in gathering items to be sold for cash or other items with real world value. Both actions are against our User Agreement:

I haven’t played the game in months, maybe a year.

I went in and changed my password and linked the authenticator app.

Is this a bogus email?

I haven’t even the game installed to go online and check.

Is there a way of deleting my account as I don’t intend playing this game again?

No, there is no way to delete your account. You may, some time in the future, decide to give it another try, and your account will be waiting for you. Best of luck in the future! =)
