Hi all,
So a couple days back I “lent” 50ish gold to a guy that asked me for it. Before you go don’t trust strangers I had talked with him and all that and he was pretty nice guy. He gave me a valid reason for why he needed the gold, and I was feeling happy for finishing making spark. So I lent him the money and he said he’d pay me back in 3days. Well I’ve had him on my friends list and I saw him online so I whispered him. Found out he blocked me after doing a couple checks and deleted him out of rage… So i lost his accountname…

Now I’m just curious if I can get the money back, cause well its 50g after all XD. I understand if its not possible as I took the risk and I lost, but I was wondering if the guy could at least be punished… I remember his username just not the 4digit number. So I was wondering if experienced forumers could give me advice before I bothered support who I know are very busy.

Thanks guys

You can not get your Gold back, but you can report him, if you can learn his entire Display Name. Without the number, it could be any number of players, as the name part of Display Names is not unique.

Good luck.

Get real: you have been scammed. Scammer like this act nice and tell a well-thought story to get your money. You can only report him as scammer by creating a support ticket, but I doubt you get your money back.

If you ever give something to someone in an MMO, you must give it up. Think it’s a present. A gift. Getting it back is always nice, but never guarantied.
It does not need to be a scammer – even totally honest people may stop playing the game any time without notice and forget about giving things back.

People you know you can trust are plenty, but they don’t ask strangers for stuff. I would say probably 90% of all players would even send a legendary weapon back if it is clear by the context that it was sent to them in error, but unfortunately you never know if the stranger next to you is one of them.

No problem. I am sorry to hear about your loss, but if you should encounter this player again, be sure to use report them detailing the time and place that the unscrupulous transaction transpired.

Oh! And next time, maybe block instead of delete? Then, you will have a record.

Again, good luck. =)

Yeh, I think i just posted out of rage. But now I’ve calmed down and got over it. I was trying to be nice and took a small risk and I lost, but I’ll count it cheap. I can make most of the money back in a solid day of playing.
Thanks for the responses
