I have this issue where my gaming screen will dark when put into windowed full screen, but when in normal Full Screen I have the perfect amount of light.

Is there any way to get the windowed full screen to be brighter without trying to brighten the entire monitor it self? As that would cause everything outside of the game to be too bright.

Is the screen really darkening in windowed fullscreen or just behaving the same as the rest of your desktop?

Because if you’ve made your desktop darker by somehow tweaking the OS’s color handling (external gamma tools, ICC color profiles, etc.) fullscreen mode will generally overrule these.

If that’s why the screen’s looking “normal” in fullscreen mode, you probably can’t do much else than fix whatever’s making the regular desktop mode so dark.

What graphics card/GPU utility are you using?
e.g. ATI with Catalyst Control Panel or NVIDIA with NVIDIA Utility (whatever they call theirs)

Honestly you should avoid WindowedMode as this does not take full advantage of your graphics cards GPU. I can’t stress this enough for players when they do this. I understand some do as they’re may have dual monitors to utilize the other screen when working on more than one app, but in general you should avoid this.

When you are in WindowedMode you lose the Gamma ability, and more, so just avoid it.
