Q:
Hey guys, so just a couple days ago my screen started to lag and jutter. I hadn’t changed anything with settings, but maybe my computer did an update that caused a problem?
Essentially, what happens is that the screen will just halt/pause for about a second, then resume. It will do this every couple seconds, so it is like severe lag. It also means my fps is always extremely low; its like im playing with severe lag, I just glitch everywhere. Not an internet problem though, something to do with my screen/hardware.
So far I have tried updating my BIOS and Graphics card, and neither of those have helped. I’ve also played around with all the graphics settings and no changes either. So its something to do with a setting or something with my software, maybe my screen or something? It only affects guild wars 2, and only just started in the last few days.
Any advice??
Thanks in advance
Same here.
All stop for 1 or 2 seconds then it works again.
It is not a server lag because others on who are at the same ingame location with me dont have the freezes.
It is very annoying in WvsW because 2 seconds freeze means often killed by zerg.
Dunno if it is related to this, also the guild and player bank character models in wvsw dont load, there is only the name.

Yeah annoying right! I managed to partially fix the problem. Defragged and used CCleaner to clean up PC, then when I played again after I restarted PC it worked fine However, it started doing it again the next time I logged on, but the time after it was fine…soo not too sure still.
GW2 is the only game for me that also had screen issues if the screen goes to sleep then wakes back up – it would have no fps at all and I would have to restart PC to fix the issue
This could be a memory issue. My system would do this with gw2 when I would run out of free ram.
Also, get an app to monitor your GPU and CPU temps. Post what temp you run both parts at while the comp as been idle for 10-15 minutes, then post both temps after and while running the game 10-15 minutes.
