Serial Code missing from Sales Email
This is from the email (order number hidden) – the Serial number is missing completely.
I have the same problem, just bought it for a friend. I got a mail with my order number titled “Order Conformation” but no serial code in it.
I’d love to get a reply soon.

Same here. Opened a ticket, but that’s a very annoying issue, I was planning to get couple of my friends into the game….
Hey, got the same problem posted by Palleon, my friend didn’t get his code.
The same for my friend, bought it and no serial number attached.
I’m “glad” my friend isn’t the sole victim of this technical problem.
I was filled with joy after he agreed on joining me in Guild Wars 2 when I told him about a groundbreaking upcoming sale 2 days ago. I also planned on bringing a handful of my relatives to Guild Wars 2 too but this issue is definitely thwarting my plans.
Would a dev be kind enough to give us some insight on how to obtain the much needed serial code other than submitting a request to the support team? The sale will be long gone by the time we receive an answer of any kind.
I’m assuming you’re all EU? Might be a formatting problem with the EU message.
Try clicking that register button, or simply right click it and copy its link. The link should also include your serial number, for example: https://register.guildwars2.com/register?p=123E4X-5A67M-PL8E-SER-IALKY90

A friend just bought one account and has the same problem. Let’s hope someone says something, cause another friend also wanted to buy the game.
Got 2 account yesterday evening and everything was fine. Bought one about an hour ago and I got this issue. Please HALP!

good question, i hope they can just resend the emails again with serial numbers in them. To be sure i stored the invoices on a safe place to have them at hand i case i need to contact costumer support, which i will do if this is not addressed at the end of the day (7 hours from now)
But since many here report this problem i hope it will be fixed soon without the need to contact support.

This an absolute disgrace!
After persuading a friend to play this game, they buy the digital heroic edition and receive an email that says thank you for your money and NO SERIAL CODE !!!!!
It’s worse than a phishing scam – get these serial codes out to the new players who have bought the game as soon as possible!
I also bought an additional account may also have teeth sister playing this game but have not received a serial code. He knows when someone is sent?

Same issue here. No serial code. The register button links to the generic registration page.
I just submitted a ticked about the issue with support and also pointed them to this topic. For now all we can do is wait and hope it is resolved quickly

My friend who just bought the game also has this problem. Also from EU…
My sister and son just bought it too. Son’s account no problem but sister has no code but luckily has email confirming purchase. EU.

I dont think payment method is the issue. I bought it with a paysafe card and didnt get one either. The bot sending the mails must be overloaded with so many people buying the game but forgetting to put in codes….

Yeah the one here was bought on a CC, so its not a Paypal issue.

It’s not an issue – I’ve paid by credit card.
I’m really disappointed by absence of any reaction except automated answer “We’ll contact you as soon as we have an answer for you”. Actually, it’s not an ingame question, it’s about money we’ve paid and received nothing.
I’m having this problem too. Just bought it for my GF, but there’s no serial code in the mail just the order number. We’re also EU, even though we’re gonna play on the US shards. Really wanted to cash in on that extra EXP!
I’d love to see a response at least… it’s been 5 hours since we bought it. Not really a good start for the new players.
I’m on the same boat, sent a ticket 30-45 minutes later (3 hours ago) but haven’t got a reply yet.

For people that just purchased it, the serial key should be displayed on the page directly after the purchase, where it asks if you want to register it. Clicking register will simply go to the registration page and show the key. If the key was also missing here, they likely ran out of EU keys, their system broke or if the keys originate from NA, the EU network issue could be the cause.
For people that no longer have that option, you have 2 options. It’ll take several more hours before the main team is available where they’ll likely find a problem and resend the emails. If they don’t, it’ll likely take much longer for support to manually deal with your tickets. The other and much quicker option is to contact support with your transaction number and request a refund. You can then purchase the game again, but this time obtain the key from the purchase page.

If they can’t cope with a few new players today, how are they going to cope with a new expansion release with everyone buying it at the same time ?

I bought heroic for my daughter and got the email with no code, bought the deluxe for me and got the code. So it may be a problem with just the heroic edition.
All well and good, however that doesn’t help the thousands of people who have just bought GW2 for the first time and are unable to send a ticket because they don’t have an account because they can’t make one with out the serial code that is missing form the page and email.
