Serious stuttering - GTX 780, 4770k
Do you know which drivers you’re using?
Also, are you using a dual link DVI cable – or something else?
Also, are you trying to use 3D mode on that monitor? (It’s not supported by Nvidia in 3D mode)
I run dual 780s and 3 ASUS 3D monitors. The 3D worked for a while but after one driver update, my right screen would have really bad flickering and tearing.
Also, since I upgraded from dual 680s, the performance is much better, but I have a lot more issues with drivers and weird crashes.
My advice would be to try as many of the recent Nvidia drivers as you can until you find one that fixes your problem and then be judicious about upgrading the drivers unless absolutely necessary.
You might also see if running 60hz instead of 120hz helps.
Keep us posted.
I really don’t wanna step down from 120 to 60 if I really have to but I can try.
My drivers are currently 320.49. Trying to stay away from beta drivers.
No, I’m not using the 3D option. It’s disabled.
I know SLI causes microstuttering but since I’m running on a single GPU there shouldn’ t be problems.
The problem is that GW2 is not using all the memory I have to my disposal. I wanna know if there is some tweak I can do in order to unlock that memory usage.
Hey there Advalorem , I dont have a GTX 780 but I do have a GTX 760 and well I also had the screen shutter or screen tearing as I call it .I am also running 320.49 drivers
This might help or it might do nothing at all but it is worth a shot , but it helped me
1)Open up the nvidea control panel
2) Select manage 3D applications
3) Then Select Global Settings
4)Then look for something called Vertical Sync should be at the bottom very last setting
5) then Select Adaptive , there are 2 variants of adaptive that you can choose half refresh rate and plain adaptive , best is to play with these 2 and see if anyone of these 2 works !
Basically what adaptive means it is Vsync is on but only on when you go over 60 frames per second it will go on , now I my self need to use this since my 760 runs Pretty much every game that I have over 60 frames per second on ultra !
So it is just a idea but you got nothing to lose . hope it helps !
Oh and don’t switch on v sync within guild wars 2 leave it unchecked
Thanks but it didn’t help much.
