Guild Wars 2

Okay so only 30 minutes ago I was playing GW2 no problems, exited because I had to run to the store, came back and tried to boot up guild wars again.

I pressed login, then pressed play
Then all of a sudden the gw2 application went white and an error popped up

with some more coding about my connection and pc,
and then it closes right away.

I have never had any tech issues until now, and im kinda choked I cant get on the game considering I was playing 30 minutes ago.

Please help!

Have you tried anything yourself? Even the usual trying again and rebooting your computer? Just making sure whether you came here straight after this happened or not.

A lot can go wrong in 30 mins, but most likely it’s a temporary bug with their server, your network or something else. You could try deleting local.dat file and using repair function if it doesn’t go away automatically. See if that helps

I’ve tried repair and booting my computer, going to restart my internet now. Nothing has worked thus far

And at what point does the crash occur exactly? At launcher, at char selection or loading into the game? Or do you get to play for a few minutes?

Are you running the game as Administrator (right-click ‘Run as Administrator’)?

This looks like either a permissions error or some program is running in the background and interfering with GW2. Try disabling some unneeded start-up programs, then reboot:

I’ve tried run as admin aswell, and tried your msconfig solution but nothing has worked. Ty though.

@locx it crashes on startup of the game, so right before character select.

this was down further in the error message if that can help anyone

I’m sorry, I’m pretty clueless here – I tried to search on Google and it seems tenfold of people had the same problem and all were left open cases (except some were fixed with repair or such).

Just while waiting for someone who might know what’s going on, could you please post your system specs here?

12g ram, intel core i5-3450 @ 3.10GHz
and my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 620

Re-downloading program to see if that work. Goodbye monthly gig limit
