Guild Wars 2

So me and the wife bought 2 heroic editions to this game. I registered to Darkhaven and now it is full (and has been for over 24 hours). So now we can can play together through the megaserver stuff but what about WvW and things of that matter? I feel like I wasted $80 bucks on this game now and am actually really disappointed.

(I have checked the server EVERY hour for 24 hours at the expense of sleep just to try and get her registered to Darkhaven but to no avail.)

You can delete all your characters, put everything non-soulbound in the bank, and transfer to another Server that is not full, or…

You can wait until Darkhaven is not Full, and have your wife join you. It could be a short time, or it could take a few days.

If I do this I lose my heroic stuff i got on my character that I have used already do I not?

You can contact the CS Team, and they will replace the armor (usually just once). The Mithril Box and Boosters will transfer over.

I forgot to mention that deleting your characters and transferring that way is at no cost, and that you can only do so once every 7 (seven) days. Your first choice (Darkhaven) would count as once in 7 days.

But, your wife could get started on the new Server of choice, while waiting for you.

Why do they make everything so hard? This has pretty much discouraged us from wanting to play at all now.

Basically what you are telling me. I have to wait for another 2 days to be able to transfer (as does my wife being as the entire plan was to play together). I also have to contact customer service for a new armor set (which they know is hardly worth my effort being as by level 10 it is worthless).

Not trying to sound ungrateful to your help as your info is helpful but the way ArenaNet handles things is probably the hardest customer service and basic start up function experience I have had and I have played A LOT of MMORPGs. Particularly for a couple that plays together. They need some kind of “Register together” option or something pretty much guaranteeing that we can get on the same server.

Why would your wife have to wait? She can play with you while you wait to transfer. I would not recommend entering WvW with such low-level characters. You don’t have to contact the CS Team, as the armor skins will transfer with you in your Wardrobe, but sending an email (it’s not difficult) will garner you a new set (and you could save it until L80 if you so desire, or use Transmutation Charges acquired free by mapping Cities on lower-level characters). It is really all up to you.
