Guild Wars 2

I was a pre-purchase owner of Guild Wars 2, and played a lot after it’s initial release. I lost interest in it for a while, but recently came back to the game to give it another spin, and I found that the server I’m on is full (Blackguard).
I’d happily move to a less busy server to make room for someone who’d play more regularly, but I can’t see a way to do that now without purchasing gems. Has anyone ever gotten a waiver?

It is a kind thought to make way for another but it doesn’t work that way anymore. I believe server statuses are based on WvW participation these days.

I doubt if you would get a free transfer though you can delete your characters and move for free but my advice is to stay put. Blackgate is a great server and you might appreciate it one day if you decide to try out WvW.
