So apparently multitasking while trying to transfer servers is not a good thing lol.

I recently tried to transfer servers and ended up on the wrong one. I know I know it asks for confirmation but I kitten ed kitten this one. I opened a ticket and haven’t had a response in 24 hours. I’m just looking to see if its possible to move my account to the appropriate server as indicated in my ticket.

If someone could check into this please it would be great as my guild is already over on the correct server and I’d like to join them as soon as possible.

If you haven’t tried dropping a ticket at the support site (Link at the top of the forum page) try that.

Otherwise, all we can say/suggest is that in a week (there’s a 7-day cooldown on server transfers) you either pay to transfer again, or delete all your characters and transfer for free.

Hi Scuzbutt,

It takes support up to 72 hours to solve an issue. Support works 24/7. If it takes longer, please post your ticketnumber in the designated sticky thread. There is no possible way to move you up the queue. So max 39 hours to go. If your guild is on a server in your region you can always guest there to play with them.

So according to the response I received a few hours ago my account isn’t “eligible” for transfer. This seems funny to me that someone (like myself) could make a simple mistake and yet not be able to resolve such an easy request.

This is my first experience with having to contact support and I feel disappointed to be honest. Its a simple server transfer, not a hacked account or deleted items or anything that should take a lot of time digging through logs to verify.

I contacted support immediately upon realizing the mistake (10 minutes maybe) so its not like I was over here for days and am trying to get a free transfer. I’ve supported this game by buying 100’s of dollars worth of gems and when I ask for support in return for a simple issue I get told basically sorry buy more gems and transfer again in a week.

Glad you had an answer. Sorry to hear its not the answer you where hoping for. I’m not going to say what is good or right. The problem that arise here is bout business model. Many people are used to games that require a monthly fee to play. Those games have a customer service that is very very helpfull. If not they are loosing their monthly fee. In case of guildwars 2, a customer that makes mistakes often cost more money then a customer who doesn’t. I see many players have trouble seeing that transistion.

Just a small tip (and I know it might not be something you want to do), you can transfer for free IF you delete all your characters. You can store all not soulbound items in your personal bank.

That’s the answer I would have expected. It’s your mistake, not Anet’s, so why should they give you a free transfer?

If you transferred to Server A, confirmed transfer to Server A, but somehow the system put you in Server B instead, that’s their mistake and they should fix it. Transferring to Server B, confirming the transfer to Server B, and being transferred to Server B because you weren’t paying attention to what you are doing is your own fault.
