yep, I heard from one of my guild members says World of Warcraft also have the same problem. I check League of Legends forum, and they too also were affected. :O

It’s a group of hackers called kitten Trolling. They are pretty much attacking most games with a massive DDOS attack.

Something needs to be done about these little kittens. Is boot camp still a thing?

Apparently. I used a word used to describe Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. I knew it would be blocked but then nearly every other word that could accurately describe them would be as well.

In a way, it’s actually a good thing that they’re attacking so many games at once. You can bet that a corporate behemoth like Blizzard, coupled with other big software companies with annual revenues in the millions, is not going to sit by and let this go on. They’ll probably be pushing for swifter action and harsher punishments for the perpetuators of these acts.

Trolls like seeing people cry through various means. And I’d say they’re succeeding.

I guess but a person can make success any thing they want and say they succeeded even if in the end they get found out and pays for what they done. It all seems empty to me i guess i cant understand it.

I think the why of it is that there are some morons that do stuff ‘because they can’. Some hermits sitting in a home or room that would be running under the title ‘hoarders’ on TV programs. They poop in a bag, eat mouldy stuff and leave the plate where they ate but say ‘oh, oh, i have done this since my husband left me 20years ago’ or some crap like that. Then you see the monitor and keyboard squeezed in somewhere in a corner and know what they do all day lol

Seems these guys also attack a rather infamous “church” known for rabid hate-mongering. Now, why can’t they just stick to targets like that? People would stand up and cheer instead of wishing various physical impossibilities on them.

These are not humans we’re dealing with. They are kittens.

That’s why they call themselves “KittenTrolling”.

And as everykitten knows, kittens have no empathy.

They’ll get caught, eventually. And they’ll be crying in court and on the news about how they are “hacktivists” and only wanted to expose the wrong doings of the world governments. And the US government will give them a slap on the wrist and a cush job on the tax payer dime.

That only happens to hackers. DDoS ISN’T hacking.

Actually, they are not attacking any games, but a supplier of serverscapacity (clouded services). It happens to be the best and most stable supplier for games (or I deduct that cause so many games use that supplier).

But what the attack is actually against is unknown. Might as well be a totally different customer of this supplier.

Trolls are sadists. They thrive of the misery of others.

I hope those guys are located in my state. We’ve got laws against this stuff in washington state. The police in my area do hunt down folks who engage in this stuff. What this group of hackers are doing is disrupting business.

They’re in Norway (not that it matters I suppose). Hopefully somebody will take these fleas down. I heard Anonymous has struck back at them recently.

What I really don’t understand is how someone can have a Twitter account and be untrackable. Just need to log onto their account to see these idiots posting glib details about what they’re doing.

they are not even really hacking, they are low grade incompetents that are a joke and competent hackers are laughing.
Their attacks are using BOTS and saturating the target machines with external communications requests, so much so that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or responds so slowly that usually leads to a server overload

Assuming this went on over the Christmas/New Year period too when the lag & disconnects made the game unplayable. Wonder how many days/weeks the gaming community will have to endure this kitten.
