Hi guys,

I am looking for some help here.

First my specs:

I5 3570k oc’ed to 4,3ghz (intel watercooling)
asus maximus 4 extreme z
sli gtx560 ti’s asus or asus gtx580
ddr3 1600mhz corsair vengeance pc3 10700 16 go ram
SSD samsung 128 go
psu corsair HX 1050watts modular

I noticed that my sli of 560 ti’s give no boost in performance compared to my gtx580 alone and maybe it is even worse.
I ask myself if i placed the 2 ti’s in the good pci express slots: I put one in the first under the cpu and the other one in the third pci express slot.

According to the manual, in dual gpu configuration my motherboard works in x8,x8 but in tri way sli my motherboard is supposed to work in x8,x16,x16 but i am not sure about this information and i would like to know if there isn’t a trick to make both cards work in x16,x16.

Can someone please help me about configuring my sli and also tell me which driver version is needed and also which sli configuration for gw2 (i am only playing gw2)

Ps: sorry for the poor english, it is not my mothertongue

thx in advance for your help

first of all you put SLI config in PCI-E slots according to Your motherboard manual.
I can bet that your PCI-E slots look like this
1st – x16
2nd – x16
3rd – x8 or x4.
Im pretty sure you should stick you Both gtx 560 to 1st and 2nd pci-e slots. not 1st and 3rd

Also i hope your not trying to get TRI SLI mode with 2x 560 and gtx 580 ^^?

It’s not worth simply to get SLi for such a game like MMo.

You just simply won’t see difference and Youll notice fps drop.

Those games are not designed to be heavy on your GPU but CPU.

So instead of getting these dual 560ti’s while for each you paid nice sum of money and that 580 gtx – simply sell them. and get yourself either
gtx 670 or ati 7950

ok thanks for your answer. of course not i was’nt trying to use tri sli with 560 ti’s and a 580. But according to the manual i can make the two ti’s work in x16 x16 using another chipset integrated to the motherboard (the NF200). I have to place them in the second and fourth slots. I googled a bit to know that.

Anyway thanks to you for your answer.
