So i already preordered the ultimate edition
i got my miniature rytlock, character slot, guild hall decoration and all

but my concern is that when will i get my 4000 gems?
do i have to wait for the whole duration of 72 hours?
what should i do if 72 hours has passed and i still havent got my gems?

another concern is what will i do once heart of thorns come out? do i wait for like a patch type of update? how will i know that i run heart of thorns when that time comes?

it will probably be like any other patch, and to run/play it, you just launch the client as you do now.

I have a similar problem. I pre-purchased the standard addition and have not received my free character slot. Registered my core GW2 account way before January 23, 2015 (Launch Player).

The character slots are handed out every Friday. Some players have posted that it took up to 10 days to get them.

It took right about 72 hours for my gems to show up, but I wasn’t too worried since they let you know about 100 times that it could take that long.

Thanks for the reply. After sending this notice to customer service, they gave me my character slot. I am very satisfied with the GW2 team!
