Hey,

i’m posting on behalf of a friend of mine, who has a really strange problem with her sound and Guild Wars. When we are playing, her sound crashes seemingly at random times, completely. Her mic doesn’t work, , her speakers do not work either and every sound on her computer is muted, until she restarts her PC. It only happens while playing Guild Wars 2, it happens with no other game. We are talking via Teamspeak. There is no specific event leading to this, it just ceases to work after a while.

She uses an ASUS p8z77 and it’s onboard sound, here are the specs:

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V/#specifications

OS is Windows 7 x64, all drivers are up to date.

edit: Attached a DxDiag paste.

Could very well be realtek drivers at play, try newer or older sound drivers to see if the issue is present with her drivers.
