Guild Wars 2

My sound is replaced by a repeating tone whenever I’m in a dynamic event with a large number of people. I then have to quit the game and restart it before you sound is restored. I realize this is the dungeon forum but wasn’t sure where else to post so if it needs to be moved that’s fine. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

It’s a known bug that afaik can’t really be fixed. Just gotta wait til they patch it I guess.

Same thing happens to me, except rather than just going completely silent, my speakers let out this low pitched pulsing sound. Weird

I’ve been getting this since day 1, especially in WvWvW and during big battles, like the dragon fights or the temple fights in orr.

But, between last tuesdays patch (25/09/12) and this tuesdays patch (02/10/12) i didn’t get it once.

The last two days though, its come back with a vengeance, more frequently than before.

Using the onboard sound on my motherboard, An asus sabretooth, if that helps

Sounds like too much is going on on your system, causing high hardware load (likely the CPU). Gonna need system specs though.
