Guild Wars 2

The sound of my game is dramatically lower than it has been. All other games and music on my pc is playing very loud in comparison to my gw2 client. I have to turn my headset (razer brand) up all the way to barely get any audio at all. When I first started playing this game during launch it was much louder, I’ve tried turning up settings in game to full blast and on my pc soundboard drivers and it is still very low. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I’m experiencing the same issue. I had mumble on and turned my volume up to hear the game, as soon as someone spoke it nearly blew out my speakers. So if I want mumble on I have to turn the volume down and cant hear the game. If I want to hear the game, I turn off mumble and turn my volume to max, and even then it’s still barely audible.

any sollution yet? i wonna hear music and my mumble =/

On windows 7 you can go to control panel,sound,communicaton,set the “when windows detects communication” to, Do nothing.

no, that didn’t help. the game sound is too low even without other programs running

Funny you mention sound. When I power up the game and get to the character select, for about 2 seconds it’s normal sound but then it drops. Again about 2 seconds after character select screen a drop in sound. Weird.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I’ve used Mumble and turned all the suppression options off for Mumble and GW2’s VOIP Ducking. Still, GW2 has too be nearly muted with all sound options set to MAX w/out Mumble blowing out my speakers, or turning off Mumble and blasting my speakers just for GW2’s volume to be “normal” volume.

This issue is truely annoying, I absolutely love the soundtrack of GW2 but I kinda rely on VOIP with guild for pvp and other events.

Really wish to see a resolution to this issue soon

I also have this issue, and I also use Mumble, and I never experienced this issue until recently. Has anyone found a fix yet?

I get that as well every time I start the game. Good sound at character select, drops once I’m in the game. Alt-TAB-ing out and back fixes it for me.

Here’s how to fix it:

Go into the volume control in the task bar after launching the game. There should be a volume slider for GW2 there. Set it to 100%.

For some reason it keeps putting the volume slider for GW2 to very low values sometimes, not sure why this is happening.
