Source of my Freezing Issue?
Does the task manager list GW2.EXE as (not responding)?
Have you checked the Applications event log for any errors associated with GW2.exe (and what does support say about those errors if present)?

Task Manager will list it as not responding.
Support had given me a ton of solutions to try for over a week but nothing had worked.
we now need your system specs, driver versions, and maybe a DXdiag output.
Anything less and we are just p@ssing in the dark here.

GeForce GTX 770
AMD FX 4130 Quad-Core
8GB RAM
driver version 335.23
I know that my cpu is not very good but I already addressed this in a different post I made. Sadly I was convinced by the store owner to get this instead of the I5 that I wanted.

9500GT is not a new GPU. I really hope you didnt pay all that much for it.
But, anyhow, since you did replace the GPU did you uninstall your old drivers before installing the new drivers?

Your HW is not a big deal when talking about a application lock.
Are you Overclocking, or running any Utilities like MSIAfterburner, CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWinfo …ect while GW2 is running?

I tried it once but I was afraid of ruining it so I turned it off. I do not alter my things at all anymore.

if you OC and dont properly test you can throw out drivers and DLL files with system locks and such.
I currently have an issue with MSI Afterburner, if I load the app before I load GW2 it will hardlock my system. After I reinstalled my GPU drivers and reset afterburners settings my issue got resolved.
You might want to load gw2.exe with the -repair statement to make sure nothing is missing or damaged in the .dat file.
if that doesnt help, wipe and reset your drivers for your GPU.

How do I wipe and reset my drivers? This issue started before I tried overclocking.
Actually I can just google that.
uninstall your drivers, Boot into safe mode and run a driver cleaner application, then reboot into normal mode and install your drivers. then reboot one more time.
that is the proper order to resetting your drivers.

Okay thanks I will try that tonight.
Have you tried doing a repair on the GW2 DB file (I would be highly surprised if support did not have you do this already)?
I’ll ask again if the Event Log mentions the GW2.EXE program at all?
Also, wouldn’t hurt to reinstall DX9 as this DOES sound like a potential video issue.

The event log says gw2 stopped interacting with windows and was closed.
It just froze twice in the last 5 minutes.
