I bought this game today and I’m not really good in computer stuff so I hope you will understand my maybe unclear explanation.
So I put this disc 1 into my computer. It does the downloading thingy first, and after that I think it should show a red bar which says something about starting the installation (I’ve watched youtube video guides) but for me it just stops right there and disappears. I was told to turn off the UAC and I tried that. I also tried everything the GW2 support pages tells and I downloaded the client from this website and tried installing with that but it just does the same thing every time.
I hope you understood my problem and will try to help me. Thank you.

tried this:

How do I repair the game client?

Guild Wars 2 Repair Instructions for Windows®

If you are having problems running Guild Wars 2, the data archive may have become corrupted. Please follow these steps to verify and repair the archive:

Locate your Gw2.exe file.
Right-click on the file and select Create shortcut.
Rename this new shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Repair.
Right-click on Guild Wars 2 Repair and select Properties.
Locate the Target line and add -repair to the end.
Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\gw2.exe” -repair
Click OK.
Double-clicking Guild Wars 2 Repair will begin the repair process. The game will launch when it is complete.

Note: Keep in mind that the verification and repair process will run each time you double-click the Guild Wars 2 Repair shortcut. If you would like to play the game immediately without repairing the archive, double-click on Gw2.exe or another shortcut without the -repair command.

Have you tried installing any other applications to see if you get a similar issue? Could be an issue with Windows installer.

Long time ago I had Fable: Lost chapters game and I couldn’t install it either. It just stopped installing when 2nd disc was in.

Yes I think but it didn’t show any signs of repairing (dunno if it should), it just opened the same way as the client.

silly question but you did try to run the “Repair Shortcut” you made and not the original desktop shortcut?
