Well, I took a complete guess and tried this out after getting those silly errors while trying to log in/change maps and it worked.

Don’t do a repair. It takes too long. The method I tried below fixed it for me.

Delete GW2’s temporary file so it has to regenerate the file. You’ll only lose your graphics and sound settings but that’s it.

It fixed it for me. Something must be stuck in the temp file that’s causing the issues.

Go here: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 and delete the “Local.dat” file.

Thx i did what you suggested and it helped. Latest patch downloaded fast and with no errors. It is a bit lame that Anet staff is not on top of crucial things like this .

Well, that did do it at first. Now the issue is back for me, and deleting that file doesn’t seem to work.

This fixed me as well, after 3 failed logins I did this and it worked first time.

I also noticed there is no more “larger” text support. Could my previous larger text setting have been screwing up my login?

Confirming this also worked for my one character that wouldn’t load. You’ll also lose your saved username / password, by the way.
