Game still crashes about one out of every five times I try to change zones. These crashes don’t require force-quitting from Activity Monitor or rebooting…just annoying, especially since so many of the zone changes are in WvW and I wind up either being well behind the zerg once I get back in, or, when I’m running in a havoc group the group has to wait for me.

That’s strange as my game still needs a force quit, one way to circumvent that is to waypoint while the failed tp’s still open. Now when trying to load the tp an error message may appears saying timeout failed to create browser view, report will be sent to determine the cause etc…. At the very least some evidence is sent to the company so they know it’s not all roses. If I have to bury them in an endless stream of crash reports from the tp then so be it!

Yes Foxx has been that long since a handful (!) of us have reported we still have problems as well as our system specs. I have nothing but scorn for the patch notes that claimed the tp crash was fixed as clearly not true for me! If I had played a trial period since tp 2.0 came I’d never have became a GW2 player seeing how much grief it has given me!

I am having issues with GW2 shutting down correctly (theory). I think this because it will not start unless I restart the Mac.

Can i point out this is not the first time this happens?

Every year they send some1 to take “care” of our business, they reply a few posts for 1 month and then they retire.
Honestly i want a job like that for myself, pretty straight foward, all you have to do is not give a single flying kitten about your customer base.

I have only had GW2 since August but ever since September I have had massive problems with the trading post. Probably around 9 out of 10 times whenever I try to get into the trading post the page gets stuck loading then the game crashed and I am forced to restart my mac. Seeing as people have been having this problem since September and are still having problems it would be great if anyone from Anet could give some sort of update on the situation.

To date the community has helped me far more than any Anet employee has. New patch, so sanctum sprint crashes my game, great…. At least two others have reported that today, don’t think they are mac users.

The tp problems still persist! To make it worse items sold do not vanish from the tp until you click the x, really….

My game has a 50/50 shot of crashing when using the TP, otherwise runs smoothly.

I agree I feel the Mac posts will just get lost there. Not to mention it will be a matter of seconds after someone posts a Mac issue and some troll chimes in with, “Mac suX0r! Get a real machine.”

This is very disrespectful of the devs. It’s as if we Mac users don’t exist. I’m sure the problem should take less than 3 months to fix, or at least figure out what’s causing it and tell us – I’ll be content with “your Mac is too old for GW2”.

This problem only alienates the players; I, for one, wanted to spend a relaxing morning playing the game, but after 5 repeated crashes I just feel like smashing my monitor. I won’t be playing the game any time soon.

Crashing more than before (like once per 2 hours). For example when I open the TP or type in chat box window I can crash now (doesn’t happen often).

Just reporting that my crash frequency has increased lately again. If I don’t switch down the graphical quality when I’m in zergs (WvW, EotM, World Events), chances are that I will crash pretty soon.

Mac version crashing more than before. It’s now just like it was on released. Lockbit and similar errors are back.

Bumping thread, cause this is now an even more grievous problem with winters day out, and the TP being even more relevant to clearing bags. Happens more than 50% of the time when I open the TP window. Funny enough, opening the window doesn’t trigger the freeze in particular, it’s closing the window that freezes my game, so I can play relatively normally, so long as I don’t close the TP window that is forever loading. The crashing, however, happens shortly after opening the window.

Also, found that post about switching default browser to firefox, trying it, will post if it works or not, so far so good though.

Seems like quite a big clue as to what the problem is from my perspective.

@JOO TOO, my default browser is Firefox and my game still freezes whenever I try to close the forever-loading TP. I really hope it’s working for you, but I wouldn’t say that’s what’s causing the problem to all of us.

I’ve noticed that the only time I can expect the TP to load and work normally is right after I log in. If I do anything other than entering TP window, it’s a lottery (though it sometimes freezes even when I open it right after logging in).

Yea, it didn’t help. Seemed promising right when I did it, but turned out to just be wishful thinking.

I really hope Anet is still making progress on this, but since we don’t exactly get regular updates or anything(not like that would be practical anyway), hoping, waiting, and keeping this thread active is about all we can do about it. :/

I’M STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TP. Let me remind you, it’s nearly February now.

I’ve noticed that if I open the TP as soon as I log in, it usually works. However, if I try to open it a couple of minutes after logging in, it will bug. Every. Single. Time.

Perhaps that’s some clue.

This problem has now reached the point of the TP crashing my game about 2-3 times more often than it works, this is also no longer my only recurring problem. I’ll be hoping for a red post here sometime soon.

I started having other weird problems with the TP. My game just crashed several times AFTER I managed to open it. It was impossible to sell anything, because the menu is bugged. I can set prices, but after I click on “sell/list this item”, the buttons in that small selling menu become grey and it’s only possible to cancel. Soon after that the game would crash. I wanted to make a screenshot now, but I couldn’t get the TP to open. >:(

The game works perfectly fine other than the stupid Trading Post.

If I may kindly ask: Is any of the developers even reading this thread? I’m also hoping for an answer. We have been having this issue for way too long now.

Well after the patch 2 days ago I get screen tearing so it unplayable for me. That is unless I wanna play GW2 abstract art.

I have had screen tearing of various levels since I updated to Yosemite, and I never had any problems in Mavericks.

Usually the tearing really kicks in hard when the map i’m in has a lot of people at the same time, which makes it almost unplayable. I’ve found when I change the framerate it resolves the issue for a bit, but then it comes back.

I’ve attached the screen of my specs.

Been having this issue since maybe September – i think i’ve only managed to get on trading post about 3 times since then but every other time it has crashed and i just gave up using it.

My computer specs are fairly basic but the game has been running well on it up until September 2014.

Specs:
OSX Yosemite 10.10.2 (was crashing before hand on mavericks too)
Mac mini (mid 2010)
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Knock on wood, but my TP issue seems to be fixed. I don’t know if it’s temporary or the new patch fixed it, but it’s so nice to finally be able to relax when opening BLTC. It took ANet a couple of months, but better now than never, so thank you. I hope it’s gonna keep working well.
