The launcher will download 33-35mb or so but the download speed will slowly drop to 0 and never pick up again. Iv tryed a few fixs that didnt work, found mixed reports as to if gw is down or not and anet said nothing here, on there twitter or facebook.

Anyone know whats going on or how to fix this?

I’ve got the same problem here. Stuck on Files Remaining: 3 but it won’t go past 35mb.

another player posted a fix, and it helped me, you download ‘tunnelbear’ a vpn then you set the location to america.

anet’s servers are really wonky right now and they won’t connect to my aussie connection

sadly anet hasn’t made any response to this

I was having this exact same problem. Also from Australia. Download was slow down to 0 kb/s and say ‘3 files remaining’, and completely stop.
Downloaded Tunnelbear and set it to US, and this has worked although I have to keep it running while I play.
So I’m guessing the problem is only for Aus servers maybe? Hopefully fixed soon.

We have a work around, but we still don’t have a good understanding of the cause.
