Guild Wars 2

Hi chaps,

Whenever i try to play i get stuck on the loading screen, i cant hear the in game noises and apparently my characters appear in game but i cant move them (same on each character).

i read that deleting my local.dat (C:\Users\Will\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2) might help, it didn’t.

i also read that guesting on a low population server might help, i got into the game but when i changed map i was stuck looking at the loading screen once more. my server is Aurora Glade

i have occasionally got the error if i wait for long enough:

the game client has lost its connection… etc
Code=7:11:3:191:101

This also happened when the living story with the marionette was released and stopped after a week or so. it didn’t happen when the escape from Lions Arch living story was released.

I’ve also updated:

chipset
graphics
sound
BIOS
repair client

no change.

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Apparently it is an issue with the ISP, which BT seems to be the main culprit.

Its to-do with BT throttling its users people can normally get back in game about 11PM, which isn’t acceptable and doesn’t seem they are doing much about it.

My lodger plays GW2 also (but on Gunnars Hold not Aurora Glade). he had a similar problem a few days ago but was fine today when i was having troubles.

My ISP is ee, I’m not sure if they are piggybacking on BT hardware and will experience the same issues.

I’ll see if i can find out.
