Hello!
I’ve been playing GW2 for more than a week now and 2 days ago it crashed while doing the clock tower of mad king. Ever since, my FPS is now from 6-15.

I used to have 14 at lowest during events with a lot of people and 30-45 while levelling and 48-52 in places with minimal monsters and players…..
Ive tried reseating my hardware and checking temps but none of it show any alarming numbers.
My Hunches are either my powersupply cant really give enough power ( is there a way to find out?) or something has been tampered in how GW2 was installed when it crashed for the first time
All my other games performances are still the same….

Settings: all low, native sampling 1280 × 1024 60 Hz refresh rate

Specs: cpu : pentium dual core E5300 @ 2.7ghz
3gb ddr 800mhz
9500 gt @ 650 mhz core clock , 445mhz memory clock
generic 600w Psu
I also want to say that i played Gw2 in the first 4 days with an AMD athlon II 64 x2 4400+ at 2.3 Ghz ,2 gig ram and a 300w seasonic PSU and the fps was at 10-35…..

I would appreciate any help that could be given… Gw2 is currentlly very unplayable for me.
I hope it could be resolved….

You might have some corrupted settings in the Local.dat file, which is where GW2 stores its configuration. You can find it in your “My Documents\Guild Wars 2” folder. Try deleting that file and running GW2 and see if that clears anything up.

You might want to make a backup copy first (or just rename it instead of deleting it) just in case you need to get it back.

Thanks for the reply I really appreciate it..
The FPS was still the same at a constant 7 FPs and at highest at around 16
When i renamed it it downloaded a file but yeah its still the same….

Also i tried lowering it to 1024 × 768 and subsample But it made no Difference in the FPS..

you have weak processor to start with, and no, the x2 4400+ won’t help either.
dig around the posts and you will find newer processor yields better result, don’t get confused with “speed myth” —- newer CPU/GPU gives you better performance and steady FPS.

Yeah but what troubles me is that I use to play with very playable FPS til i crashed for the very first time and i included the old build just to show that i was able to really run it and i switch to a better pc i had and had good performance for a few days before i crashed…
I wasnt saying anything about replacing my pc with my other weaker one…..
