Sudden Graphics crash (broken since)
I just found out that installing a slightly older driver doesn’t change anything. Now, let’s see how the newest beta-driver fares…(though I have a sinking feeling that I’ll have to play the rest of the event on my old system >_>)
Edit: Nope, beta-driver is even worse.

u can try underclocking ur gpus core and/or memory by 5mhz, that worked for a friend of mine, u wont see any negative change on ur fps.
850 Evo 128GB/250GB | Caviar Black 1TB | G-650
Essence STX | Define R5 | 2x U2312HM
How do I do that?
Edit: Tried doing that with MSI-Afterburner; The GW2 Launcher still makes the most interesting…pixel-errors, I guess (flickering white pixels on my screen).
…aaaaand now it’s completely broken/crashes immediately.
Frustrating thing is, my system is brand new – was assembled on monday -_- And was running GW2 just fine.

U could try the good old driver sweeper method, u can search it on google. If that wont work (assuming this happens in other games as well) ur card might be bricked.

I don’t have anything on that system except GW2 – and the graphics only begin to go crazy once I start the launcher. Will look for that driver sweeper though…
What does “bricked” mean, exactly? And why should my brand new GPU be broken, anyway? It never even reached 50°C and was merey running 5 days now… ;_;
I have had same problem to you bro.First I think If I buy new GPU or new PC should solve my screen crash problem.After I read your spec I should stop thinking about that.
Try deleting your local.DAT file in your gw2 root folder.
I have – doesn’t do anything for me. Still looking into the driver sweeper method.
I’m no “bro” btw
sigh At least my MacBook is still capable of running GW – I hope. Haven’t really tried it since last week…
I’ve got a similar issue, though no pixel madness as you are describing.
I do however get a “hardware failure” message just before the character selection screen and a webpage opens detailing the “possible problem” – but here’s the kicker…
I never changed hardware! The game updated today and went broken on me.
My bet’s on the devs screwing up the patch. (Pardon my language.)
Not happy with this current state.
Sooo my problem won’t be fixable by Anet – apparently, I just received a bad GPU which will need to be complained >_>
Stupid brand new GPU…grml
Try deleting your local.DAT file in your gw2 root folder.
Really ? did you even read the OP’s post ? Dont randomly copy something youve read somewhere and trying to apply it to all situations,this was clearly a dying gpu.
return your 660 under warranty
Yes really. That fix I posted has helped a lot of people with gpu driver issues, myself included. The op described very similar circumstances. That and it’s not like just restring your settings to default will hurt anything now, will it?
