Guild Wars 2

Hi, I am using a 100mpbs fibre optics plan wired connection. I have never lagged or disconnected while playing guild wars 2 until today. I always have been connected in steam while playing gw2. So i am sure the issue is not with my router. Any others experiencing such issues?

Got stuck on loading screens twice just now, once during log-in in launcher, lagging horribly in game. Yes, something seems to be off.

Nobody mentions where they are located when complaining about LAG issues.

My location: England
Connection: Cable 50MBit

Done speed tests Local (England and Euroup) all good
Tests to US: Crap

Any chance we get Euroup server in england?

Playing WvW is imposible, I am dead before i see an enamy from West of the Atlantic ocean.

Where is the server by the way?

Yea sucks. I here the European servers are based in Texas America. OMFG.

why aint they based in Europe?

same stuff here. It only started today. NEver had simmilar issue before.

It only lags in WvW. Anything else including PvE and other games works fine.

ive had terrible random lag mostly at night since the wintersday but this past 2 days is been nothing short of terrible its really strange i can run about with near 60 fps i can use guild chat and the pm with no lag at all
yet if i use my skills they just sit there flashing away till i get disconected i also cant see any thing i type into map chat i cant attack or interact with any mob or npc i also cant even map any where else so the char is basicly unplayable
i dont know how to do that trace thingy so when im waiting to be booted i can open and play youtube video in full hd with out buffereing so im sure its not my connection speed thats reading as 8mb acording to my provider i also used the bt thingy to check what it said my line had they were virtual the same

ihave a corsair 850w tx so im sure its not a power issue with my card

Im just glad i am not the only one .. been having trouble these last two days as all said .. stuck on loading.. some zones are laggier than others but eventually it catches up.. switched characters have five all in different regions so i can continue to play … all lag out eventually in PVE,,, i dare not try PVP.
Is there a better server for expats who are in China playing…maybe other serviers have less latency …??

What is the point of me getting the fastest broadband package (100 Mbps) when ArenaNet cant get that speed to the UK?

I am getting Blo**y P***** O** with LAG.

WvW is NOT PLAYABLE with LAG.

Can somone tell me a remedy for this.

Do I go make my self a cup of tea and watch a film instead?

This was a FANTASTIC game to play when it first started.
I could give it nothing but prase.
I thought it was the bee’s knee’s
I thought it was the bench mark of future online games.

Now it just gets slower, slower, slower, slower, slower, slower, slower, slower, slower.

Ok, i have calmed down a bit so I will go do 3 speed test before I post this.

1. UK Local : Ping = 7 ms, d/l = 57.99 Mbps, u/l = 4.89 Mbps
2. EU Germany: Ping = 34 ms, d/l = 10.36 Mbps, u/l = 4.8 Mbps
3. US Texas: Ping = 124 ms, d/l = 1.91 Mbps, u/l = 4.35 Mbps

Oh dear it seems I can upload faster than I can download from texas, may be I should hoast the EU servers.

I agree that is a shotty situation to be in, but I fear one of the only solutions is to move to America D=

You should start a petition for all those in Europe who are having connection problems and try and get some stuff moved to that side of the world.

I started to experiment terrible lag yesterday. Today still suffering…

I’m a WvW Player.I don’t have lag…but something worst started to happen..

After last updates/maintenance my game just freezes when 2 enemy zergs meet.

This have never happened before.

Even in when both 3 Tier 1 EU server fight inside SM lord room i never had this problem..only my skills was delayed but game has never freeze…i could move as i want since my pc specs are above the requirements and i have 100mb/s solid cable Internet.

Something is definitely going terribly wrong after last server maintenance in Wednesday.

since recently ive beeng lagging like crazy, its hard to pull of combos, and skills go off like one second later from initiation.

i tested my connection, and its fine, its just guild wars that is lagging. ive never lagged before and its impoosible to play Pvp.

i need a fix quick, it not playable at the moment

I’m facing the same problem. I had these lag problems already last year in Oktober & November and decided to give up playing this game … until the last days. I thought ArenaNet, NCSoft & Telekom (DE) will have fixed these problems meanwhile and tried again this week after more than two months of absence. But now it seems even worse than before. I’m so extremely disappointed about such foreseeable problems when releasing an MMO and how long the complaining customers are obviuously ignored.

Not able to play the game, but I’m sure everyone has a safe password for his wothless account now… unbeliveable…
