Support Account disabled??
Not sure what the average response time is around this forum. Anybody know how long I should wait before simply giving up entirely?

I would love to provide that number, but as I stated in my OP, my Support Account appears to be disabled. As such, I am unable to login to the support site, and thus, I cannot fetch the ticket number…
Just popping in here, was reading through threads, they should have sent you an email about the ticket you submitted, it should have an incident number in the subject field.
I have not received a single email from ArenaNet since verifying my account when I installed the game. It is a Gmail account, and the messages are not in my spam folder. Nothing about this entire process has worked for me so far. One failure after another.
So I guess I’m just not going to get any support on this issue?
This is actually kind of typical around here, as far as I can tell. I mean, hell, after opening a ticket, they disabled my support account. So, y’know, why should I expect anything different on the forums?
I am having the SAME problem, but with a twist. I do NOT have a current support ticket, but went to open one, and got the same message. I can log into the game (or forums) just fine, but it said my Support Account was disabled.
In my case, the in-game email system is routing my email (or friend requests sent to any of my characters) to some other account!

Yep. And the real kick in the balls here, is that THEY DON’T CARE!
See? Days and no response from support. They just really don’t care. I guess I shouldn’t expect any less with no monthly fee. Then again, I’d buy gems if I could, so either way, they lose money and look like jerks.

Well, this is interesting. I was just now able to create a NEW support account, with the same email address that I used to register my original support account.
So, you idiots didn’t disable it, you DELETED it. You rock so much harder than I thought….
Hell, you know what? Go ahead and close this thread. I’m sick of trying to get support from you inept morons. You fools just won’t ever get another penny from me, and I will happily trash-talk your game from now until the end of time. Anyone who pauses to listen long enough, will know how horrible your support is, and how broken your systems are, and how far, far away from this game they should stay.

I to am having a problem getting into my support account. Had some pretty big problems that needed to be addresed and was blown of at first by a generic email. so i tryed to send another in reply and was told my serial number was wrong. how am i supposed to get support when i cant even use the services. [Incident: 120928-001047]
What I do not understand is that if you create a support account and solve an issue, they will disable the account therefore blocking you from ever asking help again. My brother had forgotten his account info and couldn’t log into support because it was ‘disabled’ and he couldnt make a new one with his email address because one already belonged to the support account.
So I made a support account under my email for him explaining the problem and they replied telling me that I cannot make any changes for him because my email wasnt affiliated with his account. So now we are in a situation where He doesnt have his info. He cannot create a support account, and I now cannot create a support account. We have just been left in the dark…
If someone else can tell me the purpose of disabling an account while making it impossible to reactivate or create a new one, I would really appreciate some sort of logic

They really should put year dates on the forum posts. This thread is very old.
On topic…you can contact Customer Support by emailing them at support@guildwars2.com at any time. No need to create or use a support account. Your friend can contact support that way. Make sure to include the original ticket number on all correspondence if it is available. Good luck. =)
