My friends account has been suspended. He is not able to log in and unfortunately this has been an issue for quite a while now. We read on a forum that this was because he purchased the game from a third party however with the verification email we can prove that that is not the case. We purchased the game from this website.

Earthy Waffle, if your friend’s account was suspended the first thing he must do is to open a ticket to support here http://en.support.guildwars2.com/. IF after 3 days his ticket is still open, please have him post in this thread so it can be taken as a priority

I have also edited the email out of your post to prevent people from making any kind of missuse of it.
