I have 2 accounts, one is this one, the other is GuzziHero.5104.

I have 6 spare slots on 2467… is it, or will it ever, be possible to move my 3 characters from 5104 over to this one? I am sure it is actually technologically impossible but never hurts to ask!

Nope. Moving characters between accounts would most likely never happen. Simply due to the fact that it would make it very easy to sell characters, something that I doubt ArenaNet would want.

Even if I can prove ownership of both accounts? Still, I doubt there are processes in place to even make it possible.

It might of course be the case for you.

But if the ability got added not everyone would just transfer between their own accounts. Which would mean that they would need rather many people just looking through information like that in order to decide who could and who couldn’t transfer.

As for the possibility: It is probably not that hard to get it added, technically.

I’ve put in a request to Support to see if its possible.

Since both accounts have the username GuzziHero (.2467 and .5104) and indeed the second account’s email address includes guzzihero, they will see that I am genuine and consider my request.

It is not possible to move characters from one account to another. It has been stated many times in the forums.

If they did allow for this, it would absolutely be a paid service of some sort.

The statement that is not possible (i.e. technically) is hard to believe. I certainly understand Anet not wanting to let this Jin out of the bottle….it would be a support nightmare (same with merging accounts).

Same name technically doesn’t prove that it’s you. The personal information they have on the accounts would prove it’s the same person. It’s not hard for someone trying to sell accounts to create the same name and use that same reason. Just saying.

There are things to consider, just to mention a few I can think of. What If someone thinks his account is going to get banned so he moves his char to a new, clean account and so gets around losing that char and doesn’t get banned? What if someone transfers a char that is wearing cultural armor to an account that doesn’t have that achieve, does the new account get the achieve points? How about any Legendarys the char has equipped, do they transfer? Does the old account lose access to those skins? If they move a char with traits unlocked to another new account, do the traits follow or does he have to get those traits again? Do the char’s skill points move with it?

It’s not as clean cut as simply moving a char from one spot to another. If they do move a char it will probably be a completely stripped one. No gear. No skill points. No traits. No personal story progress. Just a naked basic character model moved from one account to another. You can do that yourself by making the char on the new account and use tomes/crafting to level to 80.

At any rate, it’s not a service they offer.
