Thanks for Mac version - but will it work?
Quick initial feedback: it seems to be working without a glitch, frame rate is stable at 30fps with raised detail levels in 1440p. Perhaps you should consider lowering the minimum system requirements for mac.
The performance drops significantly once you get near the minimum requirements, so I think they are fine. You’re considerably above them, so you’re experience is quite a bit better.

It also helps that you’re using an iMac. The minimum requirements have to cater to anyone using a MBP where the performance will unfortunately be not quite as good (but thats just how laptops go) – so minimum requirements on iMac = good performance, minimum requirements on MBP = just ok performance.
Glad that its working well for you though! Enjoy

My setup is 2.66 i5, 8GB and 4850 and I get 40 fps in 1900 mode. 20 fps in 2560 mode. Settings are default, but a couple options bumped up for better detail. Even though the requirements say iMacs are only supported back to 2010, this 2009 model works fine since the high-end 27" model has a better video card than the 2009 21".
Thanks for all the reply, everything is fine except that they released the dlx edition for free during my download and I do not have access to it because I bought the game like 1 hour before they announced the deal.
I will try lowering the resolution in case it makes such a fps boost.
Edit: nice, I can max it out with shadows at ultra in 1080p and keep a steady 30fps.
Thanks!

FWIW, I’ve been running it on a new MBP (Retina) 15" and it’s been close to flawless. With most of the graphics turned up nicely and running at 1440×900 I frequently get 35-40fps or so even in busy areas.
