Guild Wars 2

Sadly, I tried asking the question earlier, but tech support failed to respond to me when they asked me more questions….so I’m trying this again.

The Client is really finicky. Some days it will let me install the game and run it, then magically GW2 will create a file in my Temporary folder and its all to pieces. I have to uninstall the whole thing, make sure nothing is left on my PC before the Installation Exe will even run!

Its really frustrating since this repeats itself over and over. My operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit system.

Why can I not install it without the Client running into this stupid problem. I can’t play GW2 because of this. :P

Which file are you referring to in the temporary folder?

Well, my temporary folder in the C Drive. All I know is this is a reoccurring problem about permissions.

Like right now, I have this stupid Dat file in C:\Users\Conquistador0\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2.

The file created itself at 4 am in the morning….what the heck….it is not interfering yet, but that’s always how the precursor starts.

It of course really frustrating.

That file is supposed to be there. The game saves it’s settings in a file called “local.dat” in the location you listed.

Also, that’s not a temp folder.
