Thinking about getting a new computer..
No. Basically because it’s a laptop and laptops aren’t made for videogames.
I strongly recommend a normal desktop pc. It’ll save you money and the machine will last far longer due to upgrade.
However if you live in more than 1 place, or travel a lot for work, go for it.
Do yourself a favour and get Windows 8. You’ll love it.

Hey thanks for the response! Yeah I can’t get a desktop because I travel a lot.
Do not get Windows 8, it’s terrible for non-touch screen computers and has been an utter failure for Microsoft. Windows 7 is much better for normal laptops and desktops.
Otherwise the system you are looking at is good for a laptop but you will still get frame-rate drops in busy areas and events.
Seems like a decent laptop, should be able to run on atleast medium with decent frames in PVE, but WvW will eat most laptops. Whats your current laptops specs?
So no windows 8?
Current specs -
Intel Core i3-2330m cpu @ 2.20ghz
8 Gigs RAM
64 bit operating system
Thanks for the responses.
I agree with the Windows 8. We have it on one of our laptops. It might be because I haven’t given it enough time, but I get really frustrated with it.
Indeed get w7.
A laptop for GW2 should have these 2 main things.
CPU: 3630Qm at MINIMUM, preferably a 3740QM or a Desktop 3820 (not the laptop 3820QM).
GPU: 660m or higher.
The 7670m will likely get around the 20’s in FPS at high settings, and around the 50’s at Low. (PvE) A 660m would likely get u around the 70’s at low and around the 40’s at High.
