For about a week now, I’ve been getting about 14 errors saying “This program has expired” every time I start the game. Once I click OK on all the error messages, I’m still able to play. However every time I Alt+Tab out of Guild Wars 2, I get the same message. I’ve tried uninstalling then reinstalling; no luck. Any advice on what to do?
It could be your firewall or antivirus software.
Apparently it had something to do with VirtuMVP. As soon as I turned that off the problem was resolved.
I just started getting this today…is there a fix? I’d like to keep Lucid VirtuMVP on as it helps with screen tearing.
Had the same issue, hope we hade some fix for this.
No answer… Sigh… Anet, we need help!
This may be a dumb question (not ever using VirtuMVP and having to look it up) but are you sure this wasn’t a ‘trial’ based software that came with your system/mobo? Is it possible the trial ended and now you need to buy or remove?
Just a thought.

I don’t think so… This error appeared after a update, until the update launch, I hadn’t this kind of problem.
From what I can tell it’s hardware and software based right? You need a motherboard that supports the tech plus the application itself installed. If that’s the case there has to be some software interface (GUI or such). In that you should be able to look at the licensing status as this does look like it is licensed (paid for) software. Usually you can see this under Help>About.
I mention this because it’s not uncommon for a hardware vendor to bundle a trial version of software with their hardware to wet your whistle (so to speak) then rope you in to buy the full version.

Why am I getting ‘VIRTU is disabled until license activation’ or ‘program is expired’ messages?
Virtu products are licensed products. In most cases the manufacturer of your product already settled the licensing issue. If your product is not licensed it is likely that you get messages like the above. In case you get a message like the abovementioned, please follow these steps:Please verify that your motherboard is listed at ]MVP Enabled Products
Please check for BIOS updates from your Vendor’s motherboard webpage
