I’ve played gw2 on my pc for almost a month without any problems. I purchased a laptop and started using that, also with no issues. Then one day, the game basically freezes. I can still move around, but my abilities won’t fire and I can’t chat and everything is unresponsive. I check my internet connection, and apparently I’m still connected. I open a browser, and try to go to a random website, and what do you know, I’m apparently not connected to the Internet. I use the network troubleshooter, and it says that I’m missing some network protocols. I’ll fix it, and a few minutes later, same issue. And this only, only happens with gw2. I can do anything else with no problem. But as soon as I try gw2, it just stops working. I hope some can help here, because the game is pretty much unplayable, and I’m getting fed up.

I’d call your ISP, it looks like either your modem/router or their connection is the issue.

I’m a Moose, a ginger moose even.

Maybe they are throttling you? I’m just guessing. it does seem odd you have an issue only when gw2 starts.

Sometimes its right away, sometimes i can play for a few minutes then it happens. I think once i was able to go through a dungeon without issues. It’s very erratic. And if i were to contact my ISP, what would i tell them? Im not exactly the most computer savvy.

Try restarting your modem. If your running though a router restart that as well.
Do a data repair in your GW2 file .
If you still have trouble try connecting directly to your modem with a ethernet cable .You may be getting interference if your using WiFi,
