Trading Post FPS
Its a browser window .. who cares about the FPS of a browser ?
The only animated piece there mostly is the blinking cursor.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
the trading post runs on its own process, awesomium.exe.
Try monitoring your task manager while the trade post is up and look for irregularities.

Not anymore. It’s now Coherent UI.

Oh really! That’s not one of the changes I suspected during my hiatus.
Big improvement?
Internally for code development I guess it’s more modern than awesomium. TP at least scales now without turning fugly or unreadable.
The transition was a bit rough for some, there was an initial issue with proxies and since the startup screens are also web driven, there were many who flocked to the forums with patching problems. Most were worked out in a week or so.

The switch to CoherentUI was for performance reasons. Originally, they used Berkelium, then Awesomium, and now CoherentUI. In that order, each one is a more professional option.
It’s hard to judge if it was actually an improvement because they also rewrote the trading post. Originally, the trading post worked much like a web browser sending and receiving web requests for every action you made, except those that interacted with in-game items. Buying an item for example was a simple web request whereas selling an item was handled through the client. Now however, only the initial page is loaded and everything else seems to be handled through the client. This makes it slightly faster, but that’s due to how they rewrote the trading post, not CoherentUI itself.
Comparing the performance of CoherentUI and Awesomium, you won’t really notice a difference. CoherentUI is however faster to initialize whereas Awesomium was somewhat unstable, which would cause it to get stuck loading.
Try clearing out your cache. The technical support forum has a sticky with details. (Sometimes a file gets corrupted, which borks your TP performance.)
TP works great for me since the CoherentUI became the new base (except when it’s bad for everyone).
