Q:
Transparent Terrain and Walls
A:
I have this problem as well. I have it no matter which driver I use. I narrowed down when it happens though. If I have render sampling set to native and any reflections enabled, this problem happens.
If I set render sampling to Subsample or Supersampling, or I disabled any reflections, the problem goes away.
I’ve had this same issue, and it seems to happen exclusively in snowy areas for me.
I’d say that we each have missing textures, but given the textures are there, it’s just that they sometimes go invisible, well, someone much brighter than me will have to help :P

I had this too. I found out the problem was using nvidia’s beta driver. When I switched to the latest recommended driver it worked for me
I have this problem. It’s annoying. I had to turn off reflections to “fix” it but that’s not a fix because the game is ugly now. I figured it an update would fix it but there’s been like 8 updates since it first happened.
Have you guys tried adding the -dx9single to gw2 shortcut target line?

Thanks guys for your comments. I set my settings to Supersampling and the issue goes away. Still, this means that Areanet has to fix the issue for the other settings. Now I have my other issue: maintaining a constant 55-60fps in the game
