Transparent terrain/walls
I am also still having this problem, same card, other games all work fine, have the latest drivers etc.
i assume you guys running “native” rendersampling?
try set it to “supersample”, which even high-end systems can barely handle atm, subsample, which just look awkward or (best solution there is until this issue is fixed/patched) set reflections to “none”
“Only the finest of potatoes in my zerkburgers.”
What OS are you using?
The (WinXP only) 12.10 beta driver solved all disappearing terrain issues for my HD7750 on Windows XP.
This seems to be solely a graphics driver related issue, don“t expect much help from ANet on this one(as if). Complaining directly to ATI will probably help you more.

Im having the same issue, but im using a geforce 550ti. so its not limited to ati only.

Go to nVidia control panel and disable Ambient Occlusion from “Manage 3D settings”

OP is correct. I was having the similar issues with transparent terrain. Hasn’t happened since I disabled Ambient Occlusion from nVidia control panel.
all right i will give that a try, thanks.
have tried the sampling, shading, etc, all the fixes I have read about, I am about to try the driver Hawk recommended and will report back findings
