Troubles logging to play
Yes. Experiencing the same. Looks like connectivity to Anet is down, whether its them or an adjacent network outside of them is an unknown.

It isn’t any normal lag. It is a DDoS Attack (Distributed Denial of Service Attack; google it if you don’t know what it means, but basically means that an outside source is mass-spamming the game’s database with traffic, causing lag and server shut-down). That outside source appears to be this guy: https://twitter.com/itzchF.
This attack has not been confirmed by ANet, but it has been confirmed by Carbine, who makes WildStar. WildStar is also being affected. All of NCSoft’s games are being affected. Carbine has said that they are looking into it (on their twitter page), and that it is in fact a DDoS attack.
Blizzard is said to be getting the attack as well, with WoW experiencing similar issues.

Here in Canada, I had less of a problem with this yesterday and was able to log in and change maps. Now, however, on the off chance (10%) that I can actually get into the game it immediately gives me the error 5:11:3:159:101 whenever I attempt to change a map. I can generally get into my character select, but as I said getting into the game is a different matter.
I was playing fine this afternoon, but as of reset it is borked. Please look into this…
