Thought I’d cover both in one post, although they’re unrelated.
1) I notice MS update has an Nvidia driver update (15/10, WDDM 1.2) – has anyone had issues with this, or is it ‘safe’ for GW2?
2) When in combat, or when under mob aggro/exiting combat, my run speed feels like I’m running through syrup. It’s not an FPS issue, because I keep an average of 50-55FPS in and out of PvE combat. It takes a few seconds after killing/dropping aggro for my syrup feet to wear off.
My specs are: 965BE quad stock, 550Ti 2Gb, Crucial M4 SSD, 8GB Crucial gaming RAM. It might be CPU-related, but any attempt to OC this CPU causes GW2 to lock up and crash. Any tips gratefully received!
Edit: CPU is set to performance and SSD is optimised

First of all, movement is actually slowed while you’re in combat, so don’t worry about your hardware
I just downloaded the Nvidea driver update and tried GW2, and the performance changed from perfect to horrible. I can’t say 100% sure this came from the Nvidea update, but it’s still shady
EDIT: rebooting fixed the driver bug, stupid of me to forget that in the first place XD
