The intention of this thread is to gather up computer specification information from users who are experiencing notable FPS performance problems (ie. 5-10FPS after having a smooth 40-60FPS or overall poor performance on a computer that passes recommended spec).

This is NOT for you to whine or suggest a fix. This is merely for data collection for ArenaNet to use and try and detect patterns in hardware configurations that are experiencing issues in attempts to further aid them in fixing this community wide problem. Please follow the template below to post your information.

If you don’t know what hardware is in your computer and/or don’t know how to find out, please go to Start > Type ‘Run’ in the search bar and launch the application > Type in ‘DxDiag’ and it will open a window containing your computers hardware information.

CPU (Processor) – Intel i7 930 @ 3.5GHz

Resolution – 1920×1080
Refresh – 60
Limiter – 60
Interface – Small

Setting Preset – Best Appearance
All at highest setting with Render Sampling set to Native

Overall low FPS performance (mid 30 to 60 during general questing) given the hardware I’m using both with 2 GTX480s or a my single GTX670.

Will usually get around 27-35 fps in a city. (Hoelbrak, Rata Sum, Black Citadel, Divinity’s Reach, The Grove) Any place that isn’t a city my fps varies depending on what’s going on. The most I have ever had was 55fps. It will also drop down into the low 40s during events and such with alot of people.

It’s because of the optimize.
I get the same with nearly same rig.

CPU (Processor) – AMD 8150 (8-core) OC’d @ 4.0 GHz
Motherboard – MSI 990FXA-GD80
GPU – EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 Classified
OC’d to 700 MHz cores, 1900MHz memory
RAM (Memory) – 16GB 1600MHz DDR3
Graphic Drivers Used – 306.2

GAME GRAPHIC SETTINGS
Resolution – 1920×1080
Refresh – 60

All settings maxed out/ultra

Getting 35-55 fps with dips into 22-27 fps range.

Plays perfectally smooth except for the occasional dips.

Not noticibly affected at all by mobs or effects.

Not sure why there is no difference in fps with 64x AA or 2x? no real visual difference either…

Questions:
1. Does this game disable FSAA, or is it just not currently availiable with my
current driver implementation?
2. Why can I not play this game pegged out at 60fps no matter the settings?
3. Are these just limitations with the way DirectX 9 is implemented in this game?

Questing 25-60
Black citadel 15-20
lions arch 30-40
WvW 10-15 large battles 40 with no battle going on

Tried on all low settings and still hardly any difference in frame rates maybe 3-5 increase.

Screen resolution 1600-900

We have had tons of these threads and they all eventually get merged… but one more couldn’t hurt!

Win 7 64-bit
i5-2500k running at 4.7GHZ (I’ve gone as high as 4.9 for testing, doesn’t do a thing)
690GTX
SSD
8GB of Ram

I get very erratic frame-rate. 60 FPS, I turn the camera and it plummets. Event nearby and it plummets. Even some areas (those near the Charr hometown for example) just drop my frames constantly. I will just be walking around without many players and I get constant dips into the 40-50s. All the while my GPU is barely being touched (about 110% usage at most with both GPU combines).

Graphics options are on “prefer render”.

I get 20/35 average FPS, sometimes 40/45 indoor. Even with very LOW graphics, i have no gain of FPS. When crowded or WvW or Region’s Boss, drop at 10.

I guess i should have 100 FPS with my rig.

Just because I haven’t submit a dxdiag ever since the beta, I am going to post it again with the enw drivers… One shall pray and hope that the FPS gods, give me more than 25…

May I should do some sort of “rain-dance”
