I’ve been trying to purchase the xpac for 10days now and it errors out every time. I’ve submitted a couple of support tickets and each time I get a response saying ’i’m cleared to purchase’ however when I try again with multiple cards and paypal .. it fails.

I’m almost ready to give up trying to purchase it. I’m overseas on a US Military Base so I can’t just walk down to a store and buy a physical copy. Anyone else encounter this problem and how did you resolve it?

Wow .. so instead of fixing the problem .. I get this reply from Customer Service .. and I have no idea what suggestion he’s talking about.

Hopefully, the game will improving their services and making the game better as an apology to you and other players."

It’s probably not an Anet thing or you would see more posts on this. Maybe your CC isn’t working because of your location IP address? Idk really. But if there is a problem on Anets end we almost always see a lot of posts about the problem and others reporting they are also having the same issue. The only thing I could think of is perhaps Anet does not let people purchase HoT when they are overseas. You could ask someone you trust back home to buy it with your credit card and give you the info./ have them use your email so it gets emailed to you. That would at least determine if it’s the overseas thing.

Have you tried purchasing in-game? At the official site? Using one of the content providers like Bog Otter or Wooden Potatoes official links to buy? Official third party retailer, such as Amazon?

As noted above, the payment provider (DR) may have issue with your IP address being so far from your CC address; not sure.
