Every large new patch, I end up having to re-install my game.
It begins downloading for a short period of time, then I begin to see that the speed of my download drops down to nothing, and I get the crash report I have attached below. Any suggestions as to why this is happening or what I can do to fix it would be great.

It wouldn’t let me put the crash report in my post, said it was too long.

Hi agamedivine – The crash log shows a Windows based error code:

Disk write failed with error 23

Which indicates a CRC error. I’d recommend running a Disk check and following up with running a repair on the client. If that doesn’t work, do you have another drive you could move the client to?

Looks like your hard drive is having a hard time writing data to the disk. You might want to perform a disk check by doing the following.

Go to ‘My Computer’ and right click the hard drive Guild Wars 2 is located on. Click ‘Properties’ and a new window pops up. Go to the ‘Tools’ tab and click the ‘Check now…’ button and follow the guide from there.

Just a word of advice, you can actually copy the gw2.dat file to create a backup. Then, when something happens where it wants you to download the entire game again, you simply just copy the backup over the old corrupt data and try again.

The last time I experienced this (when I made this initial post) I ended up being able to patch after a while. Today with the new patch I’m having this error again. I ran the disk check and this is what came up on the screen. Does it have anything to do with my problem? If so does that mean my hard drive is on its way out? I’ve also attached an error log that I receive after attempting a -repair.
