Unable to uninstall game
Pretty sure the only thing you need to do to ‘uninstall’ the game is delete the .dat file and the .exe file. Or just the whole folder, maybe?
Good luck.

I found out what the problem was. You can’t uninstall the game if your GW2.exe is the 64-bit client. You have to replace it with the 32 bit version.
Just in case anyone finds this and needs a bit more instruction. Make sure comfortable editing your registry before going through this.
- Within regedit you’ll find a key here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Guild Wars 2
- The value you need to edit is called “UninstallString”. The value will likely be set as: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -uninstall
- Change that value to: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -32 -uninstall
- Uninstall normally
An easier approach to Arkadies solution is to create a shortcut of Gw2.exe, right-click ->properties, and add the -32 -uninstall to the end of it’s target. it will then become an uninstaller.
I am also having this issue. GW has filled up my solid state drive and i cannot update windows. Blind Orca, i did as you suggested, and it is not working.
is this what the target should look like? Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe-32 -uninstall

You are missing a space between .exe and -32.
Again, you need only delete the files.
I am following the directions as given by areanet so that i don’t further complicate the issue. adding that text to the target does not do anything.

Delete the folder and the icon – that’s all you have to do.
