Guild Wars 2

So I log in today looking to play some…and I’m greeted by lag that’s just unplayable. It’s not due to my internet connection, and there’s nothing running in the background.

I had no problem last night, and nothing has changed since then with the setup/CPU/Internet.

Edit: I’m running Windows 7 on an Alienware M17x Laptop. Specs below
Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 Ghz
8 GB RAM
64 bit OS
Graphics Card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M

Could it be a graphics driver update?

Anyone else having this issue?

I have it every few patches, not all of them. And last night I had it horribly (gave up trying to play) after I joined the players doing the Grenth event in Cursed Shore. After that, no matter which character I logged in as, or which map I was on, I had the horrible lag with even a few crashes in between.
Today I have been fine however, so go figure. And yes, it is not your PC or your internet connection, despite what they may say.

same thing here new patch = masive lag spikes

I mean it’s unplayable. I can’t do anything. But I updated the game last night and played fine…it’s weird
