Guild Wars 2

Over the past 2 days I’ve noticed a considerable FPS drop (about 50) while I haven’t changed anything on my computer. I’ve checked for maleware, followed the recommended manipulations found on the forums, my CPU seems to be running fine and cold, I tried downgrading my gpu driver but nothing seems to work.

My specs are the following:
CPU: i7 4790K @ 4.00 GHz
GPU: JetStream Palit GTX 970
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
MoBo: MSI Z97 Gaming

If anyone has an idea on what could be causing this I’d love to have any feedback.

Check to see how much craptastic apps and programs you have running in the background. Since the games graphics a mostly rendered in the CPU the the more stuff you have running while you are playing has an effect on this game.

FPS drop like playing on higher graphic setting or lags more with a clean computer and no programms in the background.Playing the game is worse since the march updates, so it’s not a problem in your computer only.

i have same problem n same computer spec. but my guildie using “i7 4770k, gtx780ti”

has better fps. programs im using r GW2, chrome, but ii cant understand this problem

I have not had any decrease in fps from any update so that is not true the OP’s issues is most likely hardware or a conflicting software issue I would suggest reseating the graphics card or if you have recently updated drivers going back to the old one. The only time I did have a decrease in fps is when I mest around with that new camera stuff but all I had to do to get it back was to click on Restore Defaults and fps return to normal. Maybe if you have changed these setting, try clicking the restore defaults for the camera setting, see if your fps gets better.

There has been no changes in drivers or any software related (Nvidea) cant blame the user here

I lost 15 – 20fps after the 31st update.

i5 3570k @ 4.5GHz / GTX 970

Im pretty sure they are pre-loading HoT related stuff, There has been an avarge of 40% FPS loss for alot of people. We will have to wait from an update of them
