I writting here in name of our whole guild.
Our guildmate take ban for buying or selling items, which never happend! This is BIG RIDDLE for us! We are small guild (20 activ ppl), and lose one of most valuable member… It hurts us!
We can certify, that he never bought gold or items. He made own Legendary Weapon alone, except few thing which guild help. GUILD HELP!
Yesterday, he also help one of our guildmate (officer). He doesnt had space in inventory, so he sent to banned member 5×250 Ecto and 5×250 mithril, and then he gave back to real owner! We think this is the reason why he get ban!

This is the strange situation. I think AreaNet should look closer in this case! We think this is mistake! Please… Check again logs from his account, check anything! Our guild do not agree with ban! Please…

Banned person wrote also ticket to You Guys. But anwsers we get back sound like templates You always send to other ppl.

This is your friend’s issue, not yours. You don’t actually know whether or not he bought gold or what the offense was, you only think you know. He and support will have to talk. They may have banned him in error but there is nothing you can do about it one way or another.

He wrote, and only what AN said that is “This is our last decision”. Nothing else they said, dont give us any proof. Nothing.

Anyway, I know him for a long time, and I dont think he can cheat!

Mesajah Of Dark here (Raziel.9627). I’m the owner of the banned account ForAce was saying about. I’m writing from my girlfriend account because my forum account was also banned. ForAce thanks for your post -it convince me to write about my problem here, because information getting from support ticket are ridiculous for me. ANet please don’t treat this message as attack on You. I just want to fight for my rights and make my account back to game – everyone will do that at my place.
First of all I want to say about “reason” of the ban I got. When I’m trying to log in I get the message
“ Your guild wars account has been terminated for engaging in OR assisting with gold or item sales for real-world money, which is a breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. This action is PERMANENT”
When I read this for first time, I thought it is a bug or something- but it wasn’t. I was very surprised. I know my gameplay, I never break any point of User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. I didn’t sell and buy gold or items for “real-world money”. I sent ticket to support saying it is something wrong with my account because I get blocked for things I’ve never done. I thought it will be easy to get my account back – but it wasn’t.
I wrote about my problem with logging in and strange information about ban. I get answer:
“The account was permanently closed because it was involved in the sale of in-game items for cash or other items with real world value, or otherwise engaged in gathering items to be sold for cash or other items with real world value. Both actions are against our User Agreement, where Section 2, sub-section f states, “You acknowledge You will not” etc.
I get frustrated when I read that answer – I’m sure in 100% I’ve never done such things. I play this awesome game with accordance to every rule they’ve got in the User Agreement and so on.
I wrote again that I’m not a cheater and so on, and it must be mistake. I wrote that I’ve never done such things like selling or buying gold/items for real money. I requested them to check logs, IP’s again and solve my problem. I add next day information about getting from my guildmate 5×250 glob of ectoplasm and 5x 250 mithril ingots because he want to do a cleanup in his bank. Then I sent him back his stuff and get banned about 1 hour after the this incident.
They answered:
“The decision to terminate the account is final. This decision has been thoroughly reviewed by our team, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion. The account will remain permanently closed and is not eligible for reactivation under any circumstances.”
I said What the hell?! I know I’m not guilty, I didn’t buy and sell anything for real money and they are taking my account for nothing?! I won’t give up. I mail them again telling I’m not guilty, about incinent before ban ( trading with my guildmate for his bank space) and another request for checking everything carefully.
And after that I didn’t get any answer. Maybe for them this case is closed. But not for me. I don’t want to lose my account for some misunderstanding. They don’t even give me direct reason for ban so I can only guess what of my activity they treat like a gold or item selling/buying.
I need to say that I persuaded my girlfriend to buy this game and play with me. As we are playing together it is normal to send items or gold to each other. The same with my guildmates. Very often my guildmate Khatarsis send me Mithril ingots + molten cores to craft him Major rune of fire ( because he don’t have armorsmith) and he throw those runs to the mystic forge. Also I send a lot of mats between Me and My girlfriend. Just before ban I get 5x 250 glob of ectoplasm and 5x 250 mithril ingots from my guildmate, because he was doing cleaning in his bank slots, then I sent him back it and after an hour I get banned– maybe those “transfers” was treat by your “system” as buying or selling something for real- world money. I’m writing it just because I don’t know the main reason for the ban and I want from you to check every possible misunderstanding. I can add that I exchange gold for gems few days ago. ( 800 gems exactly)
ANet – I am so disappointed because I love your game, I’ve played it a lot, I put so much work on my legendary Twilight, my gear and so on, and you treat me like a cheater or something. I’m begging you – review this problem again, don’t send me only templates as answers, check logs, IP’s and everything you can. I’m not guilty, I’m not cheater, I’m not gold- seller. I hope you will read this “article” and prove that I was innocent victim of some bad mistake. Mistakes happens for everyone.

But please note: Your girlfriend should never allow anyone to access her account, for any reason. I do understand you wanted to make your case, and again, we will review this because it has been three days now. But accessing someone else’s account is disallowed, and risky, and since you made it clear you were doing that, I need to make it clear that that is the wrong thing to do.

What’s the alternate, when you want to post? Have your girlfriend post for you! Many friends, guild members , family members, and significant others do this, and it works just fine. Simply have her post something like this: "Here is a message from (name): {message} }

Please everyone, keep this in mind for the future. I’ve been doing this since 2004, and I’ve seen too many cases of shared access that resulted in a bad outcome (account dispute, theft, etc.) so no matter how much y’all trust one another, keep that password private!
